Arnie the Doughnut Bowling Alley Bandit is about a chocolate-covered brightly sprinkled doughnut who does not know he's supposed to be eaten. When Mr. Bing buys him at the bakery and takes him home, fun and adventure begin. Laurie Keller's fun illustrations and delightful story make this a favorite with students.
ASK (Authors Specialist and Knowledge) is a process that provides students with the opportunity to interview an author or a subject specialist in the topic they are reading about in a novel. The program uses excellent literature, journal writing and interviewing to promote reading for understanding.
