Sheryl Sotelo is an award-winning teacher who taught elementary and middle school for 31 years. During the 2013-2014 school year, Sheryl served as an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow in Washington D.C., at the National Science Foundation. She is currently a STEM Education Consultant living in Homer, Alaska and sharing her love of STEM cross-curricular teaching, innovative educational resources, and project -based learning with educators and students.

Creative, hands-on maker experiences empower students to be effective problem solvers. This one-hour showcase will introduce resource materials and ideas that can immerse students in critical thinking and innovation. Inventing to learn can be transformative for students and teachers.

Engaged students can acquire academic competence, collaborative skills, and personal confidence.
