On April 20th, author Margaret Willey, will talk with the students about giants in folklore. Why are they in our favorite stories? Why are children so fascinated with Giants? Please read her book, Clever Beatrice, in preparation for this session. Clever Beatrice tries to outwit a giant in this story based on Canadian folklore.

On April 27th, Janie Panagopoulos, author and writing instructor, will guide the students in writing their own story about giants using what they learned the week before.

Signing up for this session on April 20th automatically registers you for the second session on April 27th at the same time.
