In his introduction, Mr. Sheehan states "... it turns out that the leaders featured here often found greatness in the smallest things, in the essential human stuff such as discipline, patience, truth, compassion, creativity and fairness." How do you define a leader? Who do you think are leaders in your school, community, state, nationally, globally, historically? Attached is the lesson plan we will use for this videoconference with Mr. Sheehan.

ASK (Authors Specialist and Knowledge) is a process that provides students with the opportunity to interview an author or a subject specialist in the topic they are reading about in a novel. The program uses excellent literature, journal writing and interviewing to promote reading for understanding.
