Wireman Comics were written by Sue Stauffacher as a literacy tool - don't tell the students! Wireman teaches novice readers critical skills, including the 100 most common words in the English language in a format that engages students.

For more information about this literacy tool or order more copies, check out the Wireman website - http://www.wiremancomics.com/

ASK (Authors Specialist and Knowledge) is a process that provides students with the opportunity to interview an author or a subject specialist in the topic they are reading about in a novel. The program uses excellent literature, journal writing and interviewing to promote reading for understanding.

Preparation resources available here - http://askprocess.wikispaces.com/

Please make sure you can commit to the work necessary to prepare for this program before registering your class. Questions? Email Sue Porter at polycomspecialevents@gmail.com
