    Wireman (Vol. 1-2) cultivates a love of reading in ESL or at-risk readers, ages 10-17, by providing them with culturally relevant and engaging literature in the form of an appealing comic book appropriate for all reading levels. Wireman succeeds where most books fail because it was written by a skilled, published author with in-depth input from the readers she most wanted to reach. 

    Wireman engages readers with a complex visual storyline, a familiar urban setting and a plot steeped in mystery. By the time kids have finished the book they know the 300 most common words in the English language-- 65% of all written English.

    ASK (Authors Specialist and Knowledge) is a process that provides students with the opportunity to interview an author or a subject specialist in the topic they are reading about in a novel.
