A Loonie for Luck is the story of Trent Evans, the Edmonton Oilers icemaker, and how he became part of a wonderful story at the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The book is usually not available in your local bookstore. If you are planning on participating in this event, you may need to order it from Amazon, Barnes & Noble or some online store.

ASK (Authors Specialist and Knowledge) is a process that provides students with the opportunity to interview an author or a subject specialist in the topic they are reading about in a novel. The program uses excellent literature, journal writing and interviewing to promote reading for understanding.
